On July 3rd, 1971, one of the most popular rock stars of all time, Jim Morrison of the rock group, The Doors, died of a drug overdose in a Paris, France, bathtub. Or, did he?Throughout his career rumors of Jim Morrison?s death ran rampant. So, hardly anyone paid any attention to the reports in 1971 that he had really died. For, no one had seen his body after his alleged death. And, he was buried quickly and relatively in secret. His wife Pamela was not even in Paris at the time. Even representatives of his record company never saw the body. The Lost Diaries of Jim Morrison: Book Two of Three: New World Quest is a literary novel edited by Marshal Lawrence Pierce, III, is Jim?s intimate experiences with the Las Vegas Mafia to New Orleans seances to reach his wife, Pam. Music from the Memphis Blues to Kentucky Bluegrass, Elvis?s death to Key West, upon his Harley in search of a new world, the lost diaries is an adventurous odyssey of Jim?s life?.but, after his death in 1971.This 2nd book of three is the newly discovered collection of diary entries intermingling the facts of Jim?s life with his career. In the first person, as in Book One, Jim speaks of his political views, his anti-war sentiments, his love and sex, his secret life as a rock star to escape the torture of rock n? roll. Within his words, one touches Morrison?s total deep and dark persona. So, is it really a work of fiction or is it indeed fact? The books begin with a convincing preface by a journalist who had edited the diaries and who explains in a very heartfelt manner just how the diaries came to be. He explains how he was contacted by a woman dying of cancer who arranged to give him the lost diaries in person. At first he did not believe the story but after careful scrutiny, even a handwriting analysis of Morrison?s handwriting, he concludes unequivocally that they are what they are claimed to be: the lost diaries of Jim Morrison. These diaries were unknown to most people and were considered to be lost by his entrusted friends until they were given to Marshal Pierce, the New York City journalist. Throughout these diaries the reader vicariously lives through Jim?s exciting adventures and understands his recalcitrant politics, lyrics and music while being motivated to think and to act.
