Excerpt from Report of the Commission to Investigate the Educational System and Conditions of Vermont, 1914 The Commission finds that by increasing the length of the school term to thirty six weeks - about the average for the country - nearly two full school years of the present length will be added to the public schooling of the youth; and the Commis sion recommends such an increase. The Commission also recommends that all specially incorporated school districts be dissolved and that such districts be brought under the Operation of general laws common to all parts of the state.
