My Dear Child

Have you ever wished, while praying to God, that you could hear His end of the conversation? When you tell Him you love Him and long to be with Him, what would His words be in return? We are one under Him. Draw near to Him and know He is longing for you. He is not a God who remains aloof. When we draw close, His nearness is overwhelming. Listen for His heart as He calls for you. For you who have wandered far from the hand of God, His hand is still extended toward you. He still longs to bring you in. Put away all shame and know that He can purify you once again. Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick...I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matt.9:12-13) To the world she was a failure, but God's promises told her that He saw beyond the present to what was to come. From childhood, Beth M. Taylor has felt the call of God on her life. Intimacy with the Lord began at a very early age. Freedom, however, was a work in progress. By the time she had reached her final year of high school, she was only a shell of the person God had created her to be.
