This book, the first in a series, is designed to help anglers catch more and bigger fish in Lake Tarpon, Florida. The authors--professional tournament fishermen and outdoors writers--share tips, technipues and some close guarded secrets about catching trophy fish, especially largemouth bass, on the lake. The guide provides a wealth of informations about the lake, its fish, and the surrounding resources available to anglers. Of particular value are up-to-date maps that identify seasonal hot spots for bass and crappie. A full sized map of the lake is also included including depths, names of familiar lake areas and laocations, and landing docks. Numerous photos and graphics, including a rare picture of the lake record bass, a 19 lb monster caught on a live eel in 1961, add interest to the book.
