Excerpt from Secretary's First Report: Harvard College, Class of 1906 I submit to you, rather later than I had hoped, our first Class Report. This contains the history of our class while in college, statistics made up from the class lives, and other matter related to our undergraduate life at Harvard. In addition, the report contains a list of the present addresses and occupations of our classmates so far as they are known to the Secretary. The exact form of the report, which might perhaps have been improved by laying more stress on some parts and loss on others, is due to the fact that a Class Report is merely one of a long series of reports from all the Classes. Consequently it seems best to follow the precedent of previous reports in order that the statistical data may be uniform. The value of the reports, however, depends on their completeness. This can be attained only through the co-operation of all the members of the class in responding to the letters of the Secretary and in taking the initiative in volunteering facts about themselves.
