Bern, Berlin, Bruxelles, Frankfurt/M., New York, Wien. This book consists of ten essays focussing on reactions in different parts of Europe to the Spanish-American War of 1898. Largely, the concentration is on the work of journalists, publicists, politicians and other self-conscious framers of public opinion.
