Developmental Neurobiology Of The Frog

The frog has been used in many recent investigations in developmental neurobiology because it is experimentally accessible during the larval period, during which much of the nervous system is shaped. Contributors to this volume describe different methodologies applied within several neuronal populations. They examine a wide range of topics, including development of the spinal cord, brain components, and the peripheral nervous system; differentiation of CNS neurons; tectal development; specification of spinal sensory neurons during development; and the meritocratic selection hypothesis in the control of motoneuron death during development.
