This report presents a cost analysis of Acetic Anhydride from acetic acid. In the process, acetic acid is first dehydrated to ketene using triethylphosphate as catalyst in a cracking furnace. Ketene reacts with acetic acid in a series of scrubbers, producing Acetic Anhydride.
