Wonders Of The African World Lost Cities Of The South

The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) presents an online supplement to "Wonders of the African World," a series of six one-hour programs that originally aired on PBS in October 1999. PBS highlights the episode "Lost Cities of the South," which focuses on the ruins of great civilizations in South Africa and Zimbabwe. When the Europeans first discovered the ruins they did not believe that Black Africans could have built these great ancient cities.
