Many children from 5 to 18 year have food allergies. Although most children "outgrow" their allergies allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish may be life-long. Once diagnosed, most children can often find it confusing and difficult to understand why their body reacts differently to certain foods.
