Three re-enactors fall asleep at a Civil War re-enactment in Gettysburg and awaken in . When it becomes apparent that it is, they try not to become involved in the battle. One re-enactor disappears while the other two join up with the th PVI Bucktails at McPherson Ridge on July, and are in the fight for their very lives. They are very ordinary men caught up in extraordinary circumstances. The one re-enactor returns to the present, however no one believes his tale.
