Elizabeth Cook: She's a conservationist trying to save a lighthouse on the northern side of Chesapeake City, Rhode Island.Zane White: He's the billionaire who just bought the real estate it sits on and plans on tearing it down to build condos that overlook the Atlantic Ocean.Off goes Elizabeth to New York to find the man who purchased the one thing she has left to remind her of her grandfather who raised her and passed away a few months back. But she gets one very icy reception from the very handsome man.Zane lets her know in no uncertain terms he will not be wasting his new real estate purchase to make a historic site in a city that is filled with real historical buildings. The old lighthouse was merely moved there when the original owner sold the property it had been located on. There is no real history to the old building at all in his opinion.But in Elizabeth's opinion all she can see when she looks at the old lighthouse is history. After begging the man, a thing she never saw herself doing in a million years as she's a very strong woman with a ton of pride, she leaves his office heartbroken when he won't give a second thought to what she's asking.Sitting in a nearby bar, she begins to drown her sorrows when in comes Zane, followed by a very insistent woman who seems to be bothering him as she's demanding that he talk to her. When Zane sees Elizabeth siting alone at the bar, he gets an idea that may seal their fate.He tells the other woman who has been after him since he slept with her in a weak moment that he married Elizabeth a week ago in Vegas and introduces the flabbergasted women to each other.
