Regional Parks For Minnesotas Outstate Urban Complexes

Outstate urban complexes identified in this report will account for 1/3 of the projected population growth in Minnesota between 2000 and 2030. These complexes will need a wide array of urban services, one of them being a regional recreational open space system. Planning and investment for open space must be made before a region is fully developed. This project has identified the most scenic places in the fastest growing counties of Minnesota. It is the goal of this report to generate discussion on what these urban areas should look like, and on the public role in their development.
