A cornerstone is the foundation on which a world is built. If you know the secret, you can travel to other worlds through the cornerstones. Rathsmus has had a difficult life. His parents died when he was young and he was sold into slavery to a sorcerer. He later learned that he has the potential to become a sorcerer himself. He has had limited success as a sorcerer until he meets five witches who teach him true magic. Eventually, Rathsmus is befriended by a world of dragons and together, they fight the evil that has plagued the dragon world for one thousand years and Rathsmus' world more recently.
