When you hear or suspect a cancer diagnosis, there is usually no time for long-winded philosophy, or pouring through mountains of data. You need down-to-earth, common sense guidance and you need it quickly. You need a guide to help you navigate the rough waters. There are many books written about cancer, but none of them came to my attention in the first 30 days of facing my life and death decisions. I now want to share the tips and information that would have been helpful and reassuring to me.
