Autobiographical account of events that challenged author's 30 years of stability, monogamy and motherhood. In the year of her 50th birthday, gardening writer Mary Moody ran away from home, family and work to live for six months in a remote French village. She describes this experience in a previous title, 'Au Revoir'. In the period that follows, Mary finds herself grappling with the intense emotion of an affair and its consequences for her marriage and family. She also rediscovers a sister not seen by the family for nearly fifty years. Author was a gardening author and presenter on ABC television's 'Gardening Australia'.
