Q. l)id you think it was an evidence of unsound mind for people to send you flowers? ' A. I thought it was kind of childishness on his part, and there was no occasion for it. Q. You could not understand how he had taken such a fancy to you? A. No; I could 11ot exactly. Q. You heard from time to time, when he came in about his matters and tried to explain them to him, and to assist him? A. I tried to humor him. He was very strict, and he wanted to know whether the entries were made. Q. Yes? A. To bring his book. It was not my place to explain to him, yet I humored him. Q.
