The book is a narrative of actual journey of author's life. It navigates through author’s carefree childhood, tough teens & adolescence owing to his father's sudden demise in his early age followed by days of penury, of course, punctuated with sweet romanticism to parenthood and attendant responsibilities to pre and post retirement turbulence in the shape of Wife's sad demise turning life into a roller coaster ride. In short, the book depicts motley shades of life of an ordinary man. The book makes us understand how unpredictable the life is where nothing is permanent not even our grief. Simultaneously it teaches that the death is surely hard but grieving is process that is mitigated to a large extent if we believe that circumstances are like carpets that need to be kept below, not above and howsoever dark it is, we certainly can switch on the lights. The resonating contents of the book invoke a strong feeling that life lies on the other side of fear and we can reach there by taking challenges head on with courage and conviction.
