The star of a television programme about his life as a Yorkshire vet, Julian Norton works at the relocated practice in Thirsk made famous by James Herriot in his ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL books. From his childhood love of animals, through his training and first steps in the profession and the pressures and challenges faced by vets (such as BSE in the 1990s and foot-and-mouth in 2001), and dealing with unexpected exotic pets - and excitable humans too - Julian has seen all sides of the veterinary world.
