Globalization is reshaping the field of health promotion practice. In this innovative study, the authors outline health promotion's traditional concerns and argue that 'a policy of glocalization' (thinking globally, acting locally) can succeed in establishing health equality and achieving empowerment individually, locally, nationally and globally.
