One of the most versatile artists ever to emerge from South Louisiana, Butch Hornsby was an accomplished singer and songwriter, with a difficult personal life. A talented man, Hornsby defeated his own talent through a series of bad decisions. Dirtdobber Blues, a novelization of Hornsby's life, was written by his close friend Cyril Vetter.
