The purposes of this pamphlet are to- a. Define the programs and services within the medical functional area of preventive medicine. b. Identify Army publications that delineate functions and contain the detailed instructions, guidance, and procedures necessary for implementing the policies and responsibilities outlined in Army Regulation (AR) 40-5. c. Provide detailed preventive medicine functions, instructions, guidance, and procedures not published in other Army documents.
