The author of this book is a qualified teacher with 20 years experience in teaching languages to children. The suggested age range is 7 - 11, but it may also interest children of other ages learning German. The topics covered in this book include pet animals, numbers 11 - 20, sport, weather, drinks and the house. Each topic begins with a page full of images and the German words for the topic. Progression throughout each of the topics has been carefully planned as the activities practise only a few of the new words at any one time, and gradually introduce simple sentence structures. At the back of the book is a German - English word list, a snakes & ladders game and the answer section.
