Bodhran The Basics

This is the follow-up volume to Bodhrán: the Basics and is designed for those who want to improve their technique and expand their rhythmic repertoire. It contains exercises and solos in 4/4, 6/8, 3/4, and 9/8 time. the 568 one-measure exercises are designed to improve a player's technical skill and demonstrate how to use the basic building blocks of rests, accents, rolls, and syncopation to create interesting and varied rhythmic patterns. the 64 short solos show how to combine the one-measure rhythmic patterns into longer compositions.In addition to the exercises and solos, there are sections on time signatures, counting, syncopation, playing on the backbeat, vocalizing rhythmic patterns, developing speed, controlling pitch and timbre, and playing with both hands.
