Seven years ago Simon Rabin came back from the dead; no small event, but still just the precursor to something infinitely more extreme. Seven years later Greencoat is employed by a provocatively beautiful witch to find a missing researcher, who in turn believes he can prove there is no longer any such thing as a random number. In this dangerous hybrid reality though, nothing is what it seems. Other forces are at work, symbolic, fundamental and totally without mercy.
