The Walt Disney World Resort currently operates eleven Mark VI monorail trains on three lines of service. The 11th train is Monorail Teal, which came online in November, 2009. An additional train was expected to come online in 2010. The monorail system opened in 1971 with two routes and with Mark IV monorail trains. It was expanded to three lines in 1982, and switched to Mark VI trains in 1989.
